"15 Years of Growth or Repeating the Same Year? The Difference Matters!"

We’ve all done it—prepared the resume, whether physically or mentally, often while offering advice to a friend. In those moments, we feel confident, assured that we’re giving sound advice or perspective.

But what about when our personal or professional paths become stagnant or turbulent? Are we truly open to new ideas, or do we recycle the same strategies, taking the same approaches in search of solutions? If you find yourself in the latter camp, it might be time to re-evaluate those “years of experience” you proudly list on your resume.

Sometimes it’s not just about finding solutions—it’s about embracing innovative and progressive ways to reach them. This requires us to consciously turn off those automatic thoughts rooted in “the way we’ve always done things” and challenge the notion that “experience knows best.” It might even mean dismantling old belief systems we’ve picked up along the way.
The world has moved beyond merely accepting creativity and nuance—it now expects them. These are the tools that will propel us into a new and better future.

As parents, community members, and leaders, the question is this: how do we embrace change and explore innovative ways of being and doing?

Let’s make 2023 the year we break free from intellectual laziness, evaluate our beliefs, and lean into curiosity and growth. By doing so, we not only grow to our own potential but inspire those around us to do the same.

Stay Well,

Hi, I’m Frankie. I’ve loved writing since I was a child, not just the stories, but the way words can carry emotion, truth, and understanding. I’m curious about people, life, and the deeper meaning beneath the surface. This blog is where I reflect, create, and try to capture what it means to be fully human. Thanks for being here. Let’s grow together.
