"The best communicators in the world are that because they are fluent in human." -Paul Scanlon- If you’ve ever read a Dr. Seuss book, you know his ability to speak “child” was remarkable—but what’s even more impressive is his knack for speaking “human.” Who knew so much wisdom and insight could be hidden within the quirky and amusing pages of his children’s books? Take Oh, the Places You’ll Go!—a story that so accurately reflects real life, it’s almost unreal. In times of uncertainty, the book’s message reminds us of one unchanging truth: who we are at our core doesn’t waver. That truth can be deeply comforting when we block out the chaos around us and simply feel it. As Dr. Seuss so eloquently put it, we’ll face hang-ups, dark places, and challenges that test us. But if we remember that there’s a journey waiting for us beyond these moments, we’ll find the strength to keep going. Finding Meaning in the "Gap" of Uncertainty Whether it’s waiting to be un-quarantined, for a doctor’s report, a positive pregnancy test, or the clarity to make a life-changing decision, we all experience the discomfort of the in-between. In those gaps of uncertainty, we have a choice: to let worry consume us or to find something meaningful to do with the time we’re given. Yes, worry may come—because that’s human—but the key is recognizing when it’s time to move forward mentally. When we embrace the unknown and make the best of the journey, even when it’s emotionally or financially depleting, we prepare ourselves for the brighter places ahead. So, as Dr. Seuss reminds us: “You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!” What Are Some Things We Can Do While Going Places We Didn’t Plan to Go?
