God Is Always Waiting to Bless Us
"God is always waiting to bless us; unfortunately, we are usually the cause of the delay." In my experience, my blessings have come when I truly place my faith in the Lord and begin to self-examine, looking for needed changes in my character and my actions. Many of us are seeking change and promotion in our lives, but seldom are willing to truly make the changes required within ourselves for God to unleash His blessings that lead to a clear path to our destiny. He will not compete with our addictions to worldly things because the Bible states that man cannot serve two Gods. We cannot serve ourselves, the world, and try to walk in His favor simultaneously. Matthew 6:24 (NLT) "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." When we look for advancement by the world’s standards, we are subject to the world’s requirements, limitations, and rise and fall. When we seek elevation from God, there are no limitations and endless possibilities. It will not matter what the world says. Jesus blesses us according to our faith. If we say we trust in Him, then our faith must be activated in our actions and thoughts. Matthew 9:19-22 "Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples. And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak; for she was saying to herself, ‘If I only touch His garment, I will get well.’ But Jesus turning and seeing her said, 'Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.' At once the woman was made well." Remember that our blessings lie on the path where we have reflected in Him and ourselves and made the required adjustments to lead a life that is pleasing to Him. We are not waiting on the Lord; He is waiting on us.
