Lately, I’ve been thinking about how strange it is to want two seemingly opposite things at the same time.
To be present… and to move forward.
To rest… and to reach.
To savor now… and to still crave what’s next.
It’s easy to feel like life pulls you in two directions — the grounded beauty of this moment, and the ache to grow beyond it. I used to think I had to choose. But the older I get, the more I realize it’s not a tug of war. It’s more like a rhythm. A harmony.

I’m turning 42 soon.

That number isn’t just a milestone. It’s a mirror. One that’s reflecting everything I’ve lived through and everything I’m still trying to become. As a woman, a mother, a wife, and a therapist, I’ve come to understand that healing doesn’t happen all at once. Change isn’t loud or dramatic. More often, it’s quiet. Subtle. And sometimes, it’s a little clumsy.
But most of all, it’s built one step at a time.
